Auto Body & Collision Repair

From the first dent to the final finish.

A collision leaves more than a mark on a panel. It can change how a door closes, how a wheel sits, or how confident you feel behind the wheel. O’Hara and Sons Automotive specializes in auto body, collision repair and paint, with mechanical services at the same Northeast Philadelphia address. Start with what happened, which areas were hit, and whether the vehicle can move safely.

01

Start with the whole picture

Useful details include the direction of the impact, any warning lights, leaking fluids, unusual sounds, and whether airbags deployed. Photographs can help explain visible damage, but they cannot establish everything that needs repair. Damage behind a bumper or panel may only become clear during an in-person inspection and, where appropriate, disassembly. A repair discussion should account for both the visible finish and the parts underneath it.

02

Body work and paint belong together

A finished panel depends on the work that comes before the color. The repair approach may involve reshaping or replacing damaged parts, preparing surfaces, and refinishing affected areas. Panel alignment, trim and adjacent surfaces also matter to the overall result. The right approach depends on the actual damage and the vehicle; there is no useful one-size-fits-all answer from a photograph alone.

03

Make the first conversation easier

Bring your vehicle information and any existing damage photographs. If an insurance claim is involved, have the claim number, adjuster contact and any estimate already supplied. Let the shop know about previous repairs in the same area. Keep personal belongings and important documents with you. Before arranging a drop-off, call to discuss the vehicle’s condition and the next practical step. Do not drive a vehicle that seems unsafe just to obtain an estimate.

A LITTLE CLARITY

Good questions.Straight answers.

Still wondering about something? Call (267) 995-0203, Mon–Fri, 8 AM–6 PM.

Can I send pictures for an estimate?

This website does not take photo uploads. Please call (267) 995-0203 to discuss damage and arrange the next step.

Is cosmetic damage always only cosmetic?

No. A visible scuff or dent does not establish the condition of brackets, sensors, mounting points or other nearby components. Explain the impact and any change in vehicle behavior when you call.
