A small fleet checklist covers a vehicle list, service records, a driver defect report, a due-date tracker, and a named person who can authorize repairs. Start with what you actually own, then match each vehicle to its manual’s maintenance schedule. O’Hara and Sons Automotive offers fleet maintenance inquiries for local work vehicles. Call (267) 995-0203, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, to ask whether your vehicles are a fit.
What goes on the checklist?
- Vehicle list. Year, make, model, mileage, fleet number and typical use for each.
- Manufacturer schedule per vehicle. One interval does not suit a mixed fleet. See how often to change oil.
- Service records. Dates, mileage and work done, kept together.
- Driver defect notes. What changed, when, and whether a warning showed. Separate a vibration during braking from one at steady speed.
- Safety items. Brakes, tires, steering and lights get a clear path to attention. See brakes and suspension and tires and alignment.
- Battery and electrical. Starting trouble, dim lights and warning messages. See batteries and electrical.
- Authorization. Who can approve work and how the vehicle gets to the shop.
How often should we review it?
Match the schedule in each vehicle’s manual and the way you use it. Short trips, idling and heavy loads can change what applies. Review driver notes as they come in rather than waiting.
What should I ask a shop?
- Whether the shop is a fit for your vehicle sizes and the work you need
- How appointments and drop-off work
- Who talks to you about repairs and how they are authorized
- How fleet accounts work, if you want one
Dedicated fleet terms, turnaround commitments and commercial-vehicle capacity are not published on our website. Ask us directly. If a vehicle cannot be driven to the shop, our sister company O’Hara & Sons Towing handles towing.

A LITTLE CLARITY
Good questions.Straight answers.
Still wondering about something? Call (267) 995-0203, Mon–Fri, 8 AM–6 PM.
Do you offer fleet accounts?
Ask when you call (267) 995-0203. We do not publish account terms on this website.
Can you service every commercial vehicle?
Do not assume that. Vehicle size, setup and the work needed affect fit. Share exact details first.
How do I keep records simple?
One list per vehicle with dates, mileage and work done, in a shared sheet or folder.
What should a driver report?
What changed, when it happens, any warning light, and whether it affects safe driving.
Does a website message clear a vehicle for use?
No. A report is not an inspection, and it does not confirm a defect was repaired.
